One of the directions of our work is to provide analytical support to state agencies, local authorities, and public organizations in Ukraine. Usually, this includes a

Comprehensive analysis of the territory, subject area (space) or organization and search / normative forecast of their development. This allows to:

• Assess the status quo of the object and search for possible managerial decisions;

 • Identify limits of the analysis and the possibility to change the course of events in future;

• Identify problems that are currently latent, but will become distinctive in the future;

• Search for options that could actively influence the objective factors of the future;

• Design and model versions of events in the future, taking into account the main factors of influence.

Another direction is

Modeling the future (design of concepts, strategies, programs and projects of development) using the method of conceptual analysis and design. The method is aimed at solving complex problems that cannot be satisfactorily solved by existing methods due to their multiplicity, complexity and weak formalization. Such problems usually are of socio-economic, socio-psychological, ethno-political, or institutional character.

A typical situation in such case: private points of view on the existing problem and the suggested methods of its solution contradict each other. For example, solving the problem from one point of view reinforces the problem from another, or – what is perceived as a problem by either party shall be considered as a positive factor by another. In order to find a way out of this situation, one must be able to comprehensively review all the available points of view on the problem and private methods of their solution. This can be done only by building a single integrated system of concepts, which will include all private opinions, and then by defining the problem in this complex system of concepts. Once a problem is defined holistically, we develop an organizational management system that solves the problem, and provides further regulatory and legal support. This system of management determines the subjects of problem, and suggests the rules and procedures they should follow in their work to solve this problem.

Some of fields of research recently carried out by our experts include: developing strategies for Ukrainian cities and territories, crisis management in public institutions, the study of demographic and socio-cultural processes in Ukraine in the light global trends, ethical economy, best practices of new urbanism and responsible urban development, standards of corporate social responsibility, zones of innovative development, available energy efficient practices, responsible tourism etc.
