on a constant methodological seminar "Orthodox Pedagogy"

Definitions:

Pedagogy of piety - the section of pedagogy. Pedagogy of piety bases its tenets on the Orthodox ideology, therefore, understands teaching career as child lead to Christ.

Teaching Educational System "Pedagogy of piety" - a spiritual and pastoral care, teaching, institutional support to create an environment of piety, which allows to cultivate the educational system of Ukraine in order to grow up the younger generation with the Orthodox worldview and way of life.

Initiators: Parent Ukrainian movement "PTA", Ukrainian College named in honor of Sukhomlinsky № 272, School № 25 of Kyiv, Center of Spiritual and Moral education named in honor of st.pr.. Olga, the NGO "Ukraine the Orthodox."

Status: Pedagogical and methodological seminar.

The purpose of the seminar: the formation of the scientific center of methodological study for the establishment and implementation of a system of continuous Orthodox education in Ukraine.

Objectives of the seminar:

- Generalization of the excising experience of creating unified methodological principles of pedagogy of piety (Orthodox pedagogy);

- Initiation of the Orthodox teaching movement in Ukraine;

- Definition of the essence of the subject "pedagogy of piety": the goals, objectives, values, conceptual apparatus, portrait of a pupil, forms of work, etc.;

- Clear identification of differences of the developed alternatives to the current programs in Ukraine (our "delta");

- Selection used in teaching practice and / or the creation of a set of programs, textbooks and manuals, training courses, articles, Orthodox comments textbooks, projects, social service, spiritual and educational centers, etc. under the name of training and educational system of "Pedagogy of piety";

- The formation of a permanent library methodical seminar "Orthodox studies";

- Form a community of teachers with Orthodox ideology and applying the elements of the "Pedagogy of piety" in pedagogical practice;

- The development of a permanent intensive environment for communication and exchange of experience between the Orthodox teachers in real life and on the Internet;

- The formation of an expert group in the field of pedagogy of piety;

- Development of a mechanism of MES standardization of educational elements of the "Pedagogy of piety";

- Congregational prayer participants;

- Pastoral care of the participants;

- A holistic space of the pedagogy of piety.

Audience: teachers of pre-school, secondary and higher education, scientists, young researchers and students of pedagogical universities, colleges, seminarians and students of the faculties of spiritual missionary institutions, students of catechism courses, the clergy of the Orthodox Church.

Forms of participation:

- A personal participation in regular seminars;

- Publications in specialized educational and religious periodicals, newspaper "PTA", etc.;

- Publication in the office "methodical seminar" Orthodox Pedagogy "" on the website of NGO "Ukraine the Orthodox";

- Participation in a group in a social network;

- The completion of a permanent library of methodical seminar "Orthodox pedagogy."

The core of the participants can become co-establishers of other thematic workshops (for example, the section of the annual conference Pokrovsky readings).

Venue: Meeting room of NGO "Ukraine the Orthodox" Center of Spiritual and Moral education named in honor of st.pr. Olga, other accessories classrooms, publications and exchange of views on the print and the pages of the relevant media and social networking, skype-conferences, etc.

Frequency: Meetings - quarterly (more often if needed), publications - continuously upon receipt.

Issues addressed for the seminar topics:

- The spiritual and moral foundations of pedagogy of piety;

- Theoretical and methodological basis of pedagogy of piety;

- Legal and institutional aspects of the formation and implementation of the system of continuous Orthodox education in Ukraine.

On July 5th the expert discussion of urban development will be hold in Chernigov

On Tuesday, 5^th of July at the Chernihiv press center the presentation and discussion of the analytical report "Responsible development of the territory" prepared by the Agency for conceptual analysis, design and management "CONCEPT" (Kyiv) will be hold.

The report will be submitted by the head of the Agency, consultant in issues of conceptual design and development, strategic management, Oleh Boyko-Boychuk. The report outlines the state of socio-demographic processes in Ukraine and Chernihiv region on the background of global indicators and trends, gives an analysis of recent changes in approaches to economic development and urbanization, presents principles and strategies for responsible municipal development.

Ethical economics, corporate social responsibility, budget social projects - here are some of the topics to be covered during the meeting.

After the report, experts will be invited to discuss the factors that currently affect the key demographic and social status of "health" of the city and to comment a possibility to implement strategies of responsible municipal development in the city. In this way the representatives of the Agency "Concept" hope to launch a dialogue for further development of Chernihiv on the basis of responsible development and initiate the establishment of the public support of these processes.

On April 14, 2011, in the press center SumyNews an expert in issues of strategic development, author of several books, President of the Agency "Concept" Oleg Boyko-Boychuk in the report "The Ukraine-2025" outlined the state of social processes in Ukraine and in Sumy region and presented the results of research on their forecast for the next 15 years.

Participants were invited to discuss the factors that currently affect the key demographic and social status of "health" of the city. Age structure, health and working capacity of the population, problems of youth education, attitude to basic moral and ethical values - a short list of questions that were discussed during the meeting.

In the discussion also participated: Mark Berfman, former head of the Sumy Regional Council, Andrei Antonenko, Head of Management of organizational work Sumy municipal council, Alexander Khorunzhiy, director of the Center for Regional Policy Studies, Oleg lungwort, Director of "Office of Policy Analysis," Alla Yarova, rector of the Ukrainian Academy of Banking of National Bank of Ukraine Mykola Klochko, the leader of the regional organizations of political parties' "Front for Change"

Workshop “Energy Balanced community - the way for further development". Exhibition of project ideas of local community

July 27, 2010 in the Conference Room of Kanev municipality the workshop "Energy Balanced community - the way for further development" was hold. The event gathered international experts on energy and renewable energy, leaders of the Agency" Concept ", representatives of regional state administration, Kanev municipality, local deputies, representatives of small and medium businesses of the community.

Chiefs of public service departments of the town, directors of leading companies and institutions presented their project ideas to transform the Kanev town into energy balanced one.

In the contest for the best project idea the first place was won by representatives of the plant "Magnet" for the project idea of renewable energy sources production at the plant. The second and third place took the State Collage "High school of Kaniv" for the project "Alternative energy implementation at the School” and the water utility and wastewater company of Kanev for the projects of energy efficiency modernization of the enterprise.

At the workshop also Father Georgiy, archpriest, Dean of "Sviato-Yspenskiy” Cathedral of Kaniv town, participated. He delivered a presentation on the topic "Church, energy and environmental problems”, in which he described the environmental and energy crisis from the view point of principles of the Orthodox faith.

International experts for technological issues of the project "First energy balanced community of Ukraine" presented the best practice of implementation of alternative energy sources in decentralized municipal systems and gave examples of calculation of such projects for the Kaniv town.

Workshops in Kiev City Administration

From 20 to 26 July 2010 a number of working meetings was hold by the group of German experts of the agency "Concept" with the representatives of the Kyiv city state administration, which referred to the topics of the optimization of energy system of the Kiev city, opportunities for renewable energy implementation into the energy and heat systems of the city, treatment of solid waste.

The experts visited a number of municipal energy objects and systems utilization and recycling of solid waste.

On a base of the results of that preliminary review was held a working meeting with the Deputy Head of the Kyiv State Administration Oleksandr Mazurchak. During the meeting further ways of collaboration with relevant officials in Kiev administration were scheduled, and topics for pilot projects were discussed.

Seminar “Energy Balanced Community – First Steps for Development"

July 27, 2010 at 11:00 am in Conference Hall of Kaniv Executive Committee of Local Rada will be hold the seminar "Energy Balanced Community – First Steps for Development" with participation of representatives of the Ministry of Housing, heads and representatives for regional state administration Kanivska, Kanev Executive Committee, members , small and medium cities, the press.

The seminar will be conducted by international experts led by Mr. Uwe G. Haefner. Seminar Programme can be viewed HERE

The seminar will also be a competition of conceptual ideas (Fair of project ideas of local active members). Local community will present its own vision and project ideas for the transformation of the town to energy balanced and / or transfer of certain enterprises, institutions, public sector, a sector of consumers to alternative sources of energy.

Participants will be awarded diplomas and valuable presents, the idea first three winners will be included in project developments. We invite directors of enterprises, organizations, institutions, housing co-chairmen and all stakeholders to participate in the meeting and the competition. Presentation of the project "First energy balanced community" for local active members of the town of Kaniv

July 13 the presentation "First energybalanced community of Ukraine" for public and officials of the town of Kanev and Kanev rayon.

The presentation was intended to:

1. Introduce the concept of "energybalanced community" to the public of active community members of Kaniv

2. Provide an overview of basic approaches and technological opportunities, which are used in projects of such a transform 3. Involve local actors of the active groups (1. local deputies, local government, 2. Local business 3. The public and science representatives) to develop its own vision of transformation for energybalanced community
4. Involve local administration to the ideological support of the project

The presentation was conducted by Mr. Uwe G. Haefner, head of the German expert team of the project, and Ms. Olga Rudenko, executive director of the agency "Concept”.
The discussion was attended by mayor of the town Kaniv, Vasyl Kolomiets, head of the local administration, the heads of all municipal services departments, businessmen, representatives of active community, etc. Total presentation brought together about 40 representatives of local active actors. Most questions to the experts referred to possibility of using various alternative energy sources in local environment and for financing such projects.

June 27 in the city will be hold a seminar in frames of which the "Exhibition of ideas” of active community members will take place. It gives to local community members to present their own vision and project ideas referring the transfer of certain enterprises, institutions, public sector, a sector of consumers to alternative sources of energy. Participants will be awarded diplomas and valuable presents, the first three project ideas - winners will be included in project development.

Agency for conceptual analysis, design and management "Concept" gladly congratulate Kaniv community which became the winner for the participation in the pilot project "First energy-balanced community of Ukraine"

We sincerely grateful to all communities for your interest in the project and appreciate the time and efforts that was spent to prepare materials submitted to the contest.

All application forms received by us were carefully reviewed and evaluated by impartial experts on energy efficiency and local development. Under the terms of competition the evaluation was hold on the major groups of indicators:
• formal assessment (presence of signature and seal, correctness and completeness of required data, the availability of required applications, etc.);
• the potential effectiveness of this project (the institutional and organizational capacity of communities to implement the project, the perception of the principles of energy and resource availability partnerships with neighboring communities, etc.);
• socio-economic potential of the project (economic structure and agricultural communities, existing mechanisms for managing energy sector of the city, etc.).

Among the 22 communities that applied for participation in this project, by rating compiled from the results of expert assessment, the community of Kaniv town won the first place.

We appreciate the efforts of all communities who participated in the competition and ready to help in other ways to implement energy conservation principles, responsible environmental management and sustainable development in your communities.

Agency for Conceptual Analysis, Design and Management "CONCEPT" together with the Ministry of Housing and Municipal Economy of Ukraine announce a competition among local communities of Ukraine for the participation in the pilot project "First Energy-Balanced Community of Ukraine”.

Energy-Balanced Community – even for western Europe it's a new concept to generate the community's energy on its own territory (village, town, city, etc.). The balance between the energy consumed and the energy produced within the community is achieved exclusively from renewable energy sources of local origin. Several cities of Germany and Austria have introduced this approach. In 2009, with the assistance of the European community, one Hungarian city joint this approach. The call for local authorities of Ukraine for participation in the pilot project, "First Energy-Balanced community of Ukraine” is active now.

The aim of the project is to develop and implement the pilot project - modernization of N-community into a comunity with ziro-balance (as minimum) energy consumption/production keeping its economy structure and community historical life style, with the energy production only from renewables of local origin.

The balance between the energy consumed and the energy produced within the community is achieved exclusively from renewable energy sources of local origin. Several towns of Germany and Austria have introduced this approach. In 2009, with the assistance of the European community, one Hungarian town joint this approach.

The "First Energy-Balanced Community of Ukraine” is a joint initiative of the agency "CONCEPT” and German Expert Team of Technology Center of Electical Engineering (Stuttgart, Germany), specialized in Decentralized Municipal Energy Systems with the support of the Ministry in issues of Housing and Municipal Economy of Ukraine. The project aim is to attract the best experience of EU countries to develop and implement a pilot project transforming one of the Ukrainian communities to a community with (at least) zero balance of energy consumption and production based only on the production of energy from renewable sources of local origin, maintaining the community's industrial structure and it's social living environment.
